Empowered by aerospace-grade technology, domestic fitness equipment breaks through technical barriers
It is reported that the weightless environment of the space station brings many challenges to the astronauts' bodies, including bone density loss of 1% per month, muscle atrophy, cardiovascular dysfunction and other problems, which puts extreme requirements on the functionality and reliability of fitness equipment. As an enterprise undertaking major national aerospace missions, Impulse has established a multidisciplinary research team and strictly followed the aerospace "zero defects, zero failures" standard. After nearly two years of research and development, Impulse has successfully launched this highly integrated core muscle training device. The equipment adopts a lightweight design and is suitable for the small space of the space station. At the same time, through structural innovation, it allows astronauts to complete a variety of actions such as abdominal crunches, hip flexion, and push presses, achieving "one device for multiple purposes" and comprehensively combating the physiological decline of weightlessness.
In terms of process innovation, this equipment breaks through many technical bottlenecks. In order to achieve a balance between lightweight and high strength, the R&D team used new composite materials to reduce the weight of the equipment while ensuring that the structural strength meets aerospace standards; the restraint straps have been iterated on nearly 50 sets of samples, taking into account safety and comfort, and can adapt to the complex needs of astronauts on-orbit training; the equipment's built-in intelligent monitoring system can collect training data in real time to achieve visualization and precise control of training effects. This technology has been simultaneously applied to civilian fitness equipment.
As a leading company in the domestic fitness equipment industry, Impulse has gradually brought aerospace-grade technology to the civilian market with the strength of 338 domestic and foreign valid patents and a R&D team of hundreds of people. At present, its high-end fitness equipment has been integrated with space-level precision control, intelligent data monitoring and other technologies. It uses flexible resistance adjustment technology in strength training equipment to control the training error within 2%, greatly improving the user experience. Industry insiders said that the application of aerospace technology has not only enhanced the core competitiveness of domestic fitness equipment, but also promoted the entire industry to upgrade to high precision, high reliability, and intelligence, helping Chinese fitness equipment seize the right to speak in the global market.
In the future, Impulse will continue to use aerospace quality as the standard, deepen the collaborative innovation of industry, academia and research, promote the transformation of more aerospace-grade processes into civilian technologies, and at the same time accelerate its international layout, so that domestic fitness equipment can bring Chinese technology to the world, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of national health and sports industries.
